A panel of judges will be appointed by the organisers and sponsors. The submission and judging process will be managed confidentially by an independent third party. The judges will log in to a secured site to view each entry and shortlist them. The judges will proceed to score each shortlisted entry. The top 60 images with the highest average score will be exhibited at Old School and eligible for People's Choice Award. The decision by the judges is final and binding on all matters relating to the competition. The organisers will not enter into any correspondence regarding the judging or organisation of the competition. The judging will be held in Sept, 2010.

BOB LEE (SINGAPORE)

Bob's work bears testimony to his passion and desire bring a subject to light. His work depict his heart?s desire to capture the minute, the mundane and the increasingly oblivious. The outcome of this manifestation brings forth compelling images that invoke emotions and arouses curiosity. Viewers marvel at nature?s wonder through his lens whilst questioning the core purpose of humanity.

His numerous accolades and awards, garnered both locally and internationally bears testimony to his immaculate craft. In 2003, he beat over 200 top photojournalists from 32 countries to clinch the top award in the Behind the Scenes category of the ClickArt: World Photojournalists Meet. His other notable awards include the Jurors' Choice in the Singapore Art Awards 2005, Honourable Mentions in The International Photography Awards 2007, the Gold Award in the 'Best In Feature Photography' category in the Ifra Asia Media Awards 2007, Honourable Mentions in Prix de la Photographie, Paris 2009, just to name a few.

His work extends out of an image into numerous publications and exhibitions. In 2003, Bob published his first book, Have a Little Faith, highlighting the daily life of the Sikh and Jewish community in Singapore. The book project led to his inaugural solo exhibition held at the Singapore History Museum in the same year. In 2004, he launched his second exhibition and publication, One Room Flat, a unique exhibition which revealed the life of the one-room flat elderly dwellers. In 2010, Bob published his third book "ah bob baba zhouji". The publication comprises a compilation of blog entries and photos documenting the trials and tribulations of himself, a first-time father. In 2009 Bob launched his second solo exhibition "CurioCity: Photographs from My Toy Camera" and subsequently published his 4th publication "Curiocity - U and I" in February 2010.

Albeit all these achievements, Bob has remained level-headed and continuosly groom our young generation as a lecturer teaching Photography in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (2005 - 2007), Ngee Ann Polytechnic (2010 - present) and Egg Story Digital Arts School (2007 - present). He also contributes, searching for budding photographers, as guest judge for photography competitions such as 2009 National Museum of Singapore "Spot & Shoot 2009 - Our Landscape", 2009 Canon Photo Marathon, 2007 North East CDC "SNAP", 2005 NUS Montage, 2005 NTUC "Vitality & Me".

Today he is working as an executive photographer in "My Paper".

JUSTIN GUARIGLIA (USA)

Justin Guariglia is an award-winning location photographer. Now based in New York, he has photographed in more than 50 countries worldwide, focusing on Asia, Europe, and the Americas. He has lived in Venice, Italy; Beijing, China; Hong Kong; Singapore; and Tokyo.

Guariglia moved to Asia at age 21 to learn Mandarin Chinese in Beijing, where he eventually taught himself photography as an excuse to explore the city. Returning to the United States briefly, he landed an internship at Magnum Photos in New York, where he was first exposed to the documentary world. Encouraged by a Magnum photographer to "get out of the office and back onto the street," he returned to Asia in 1998, settled in Hong Kong, and began working on freelance commissions for National Geographic Traveler, Smithsonian, and Newsweek to help pay for his "Personal Journeys" projects around Asia, in which he photographed landscapes and cityscapes.

Named one of the "top 30 young photographers under 30" by Photo District News, Guariglia was also nominated for the Young Photographer of the Year award by the International Center of Photography in New York. In 2003 his reportage work won two Pictures of the Year awards and an Ozzie gold award.

A contributor to more than 50 publications worldwide, Guariglia works regularly on assignment for Fortune, The New York Times, and other publications. He is also a contributing editor for National Geographic Traveler. His advertising work has won numerous regional awards.

ALEX WONG (Malaysia)

Yoong Wah Alex Wong was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. After he graduated from Savannah College of Arts and Design (MFA), Georgia - USA, he then worked at 3DO game and Electronic Arts game, San Francisco - USA as 3D animator. He is currently teaching at the Sabanci University, Istanbul - Turkey since 2002 till now, in the area of Digital Modeling, Computer Animation, Digital Video, Motion Graphics and Arts. He worked as an active photographer for 15 years and travel to more than 30 countries. He received numerous honors from International Photography Award (IPA), PX3 Award, The Spider Award, World Photographic Arts Award, Worldwide Photography Gala Award and etc. He is a regular editor/ photographer to Photo creator publication, Malaysia and actively exhibited his works worldwide.

LINDA MEYERREICKS (USA)

A 38-year veteran of the National Geographic Society, Linda has been Photo Editor forNational Geographic Traveler since 1990. As one of the Photo Editor team at Traveler, Linda was responsible for defining the photographic vision of the magazine working with world-renown photographers. While at Traveler, Linda also created and produced special issues, calendars, and established a reprint program. She solicited prizes for Traveler's Annual Photo Contests and was also one of the judges.

Before Traveler, Linda was Illustrations Editor on many large format books produced by the Society working with many well-known scientists, writers, and historians. Previous to her work with the Book Division, she was Art Director for National Geographic promotions, and a layout assistant for National Geographic Magazine. Linda is also an accomplished photographer, and has images published by National Geographic. She continues to freelance as a photographer and art consultant.

For over the past ten years, Linda has been teaching the "Travel Magazine Photography Assignment" class at the Maine Photographic Workshops. Linda was a Founder of the International Photography Workshops, which she directed in Hawaii, Italy, Austria, and Belgium. She continues to coach young photographers as a mentor and on the lecture circuit. Linda received her BFA at Pratt Institute.

Recently retired from the National Geographic Society, Linda is establishing her own business at www.photoshepherd.com to support photographers, publishers, museums, galleries, corporations, and students of photography, as she continues to work on contract for National Geographic.
